The Pastille Collection by Emeline Ong features a series of monolithic tables adorned with minimal graphic lines, each piece celebrating its distinctive casting process in its finished outcome.
With gentle forms and inviting colours reminiscent of candy, contrasted with a brutal finish, these tables blend femininity with rawness, imbuing a sculptural presence in any space.
Exploring the interplay between custom moulds and a composite paper pulp mixture, the series reveals distinct seams made during the demoulding process, where the moulds meet due to excess material. Meticulously layered and compressed, this process creates visible layers in the tables, reflecting the painstaking process of handcrafting each piece.
The collection serves as an expression of intricate craftsmanship, bearing the traces of the maker and the beauty of the construction process in the final product.

As an extension of The Pastille Collection by Emeline Ong, each piece is gently contoured and adorned with a palette of pastel hues, evoking the sweet flavours found in a jar of candy or the delightful surprise of discovering a lucky charm in your cereal.
Derived from experiments with paper pulp and plaster, each hook is meticulously crafted, featuring a raw finish that contrasts with its soft features, lending it a sculptural charm. This effect, combined with its animated and whimsical character, playfully captures the essence of sugary delights.
