Inordinary Stationary
Inordinary Stationary exists in an imagined world where circles are sacred and not permitted to be man-made. To replace the circles present, stationery mechanisms are given a new twist.
For instance, tape is dispensed using a turning mechanism.
A pencil sharpener shaves in a linear motion.
A ‘v’mechanism is adopted to pivot the scissors blades.
Between the uncanny familiarity and the awkward otherness, the collection is an effort to bring a new perspective and rethink the utility of familiar objects.
